VTO Virtual Try-On — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how VTO Virtual Try-On ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when a merchant installs the App on their Shopify store, and when a shopper uses the Virtual Try-On widget on that store. The App is provided by Techdome Solutions Private Limited, F948+W7, Techdome, 3rd floor, 91springboard, Kondapur, Laxmi Cyber City, Whitefields, HITEC City, Hyderabad, Telangana 500084, India.

1. Information We Collect

From merchants (store owners)

Shop domain (e.g. your-store.myshopify.com)
App settings you configure (widget enabled/disabled, plan)
Subscription/billing status via Shopify's Billing API (we do not process or store payment card details ourselves — Shopify handles billing)

From shoppers (your customers using the widget)

A photo the shopper chooses to upload, used only to generate a virtual try-on image.
The product image and store domain associated with the try-on request.

2. How We Use Information

The shopper's uploaded photo and the product image are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a composite "try-on" image, which is returned directly to the shopper's browser. We do not store the uploaded photo or the generated result image on our servers — they exist only for the duration of that single request.

We store aggregate, non-image data to operate the App and enforce plan limits: which shop made a request, whether it succeeded or failed, how long it took, and a monthly count of try-ons per shop. This data does not include the photo itself.

3. Third-Party Processing

Uploaded and product images are processed by Google's Gemini API to generate the try-on result. This transfer is required for the App's core function. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Gemini API Additional Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

Shopper photos and generated images are not retained by us. Aggregate usage records (shop, status, timestamp, duration — no images) are retained for as long as the merchant uses the App, to support plan enforcement and the merchant analytics dashboard.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell shopper or merchant data. Data is shared only with Google (for image generation, as described above) and Shopify (for authentication and billing, as required to operate an embedded Shopify app).

6. Your Rights

Merchants can disable the widget at any time from the App's Settings page, which immediately stops new try-on requests from that store. Because shopper photos are not stored, there is no persisted shopper data to request deletion of beyond what's described above.
